With a strong emphasis on health & safety, quality, and employing experienced in-house site teams, they continue to enjoy sustained growth and are now looking to strengthen their commercial team with the appointment of an Estimator / Quantity Surveyor.The RoleAs Estimator / Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for:Preparing accurate cost estimates and competitive tender submissions for commercial fit-out and shopfitting projectsProducing detailed quantity take-offs from drawings and specificationsProcuring subcontractors and obtaining competitive supplier quotationsManaging projects commercially from tender stage through to final accountPreparing interim valuations, variations, applications for payment, and final accountsProducing CVRs, cost reports, and commercial forecastsIdentifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunitiesWorking closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers, and Directors to ensure successful project deliveryBuilding and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractorsSupporting the smooth handover of projects from pre-construction through to deliveryThe Ideal CandidateThe successful Estimator / Quantity Surveyor will have:Previous experience as an Estimator, Quantity Surveyor, or in a combined QS/Estimator roleExperience within commercial fit-out, shopfitting, interiors, or refurbishment would be highly advantageousStrong commercial awareness and estimating abilityExperience preparing valuations, variations, and final accountsGood understanding of JCT contractsExcellent negotiation, communication, and organisational skillsStrong Microsoft Excel and IT skillsAbility to manage multiple tenders and live projects simultaneouslyFull UK Driving LicenceWhat's on OfferCompetitive basic salary of £55,000 - £75,000Attractive benefits packageOpportunity to join a well-established and growing commercial fit-out specialistExposure to high-profile retail, hospitality, leisure, and commercial projects across the UKLong-term career progression within an expanding commercial teamOngoing professional development and trainingSupportive and collaborative working environmentApply: If you're interested in this opportunity, then please get in touch today with our Commercial Specialist, Mark Harris.Building Careers UK specialises in Construction and Property recruitment and serves as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
