V06220 – Senior Structures EngineerBAE Systems Warton, Samlesbury, Brough or Prestwick6 positions12 monthsBPSS with full SC, subject to ITARInside IR35Job description:To ensure we support our growing world-wide fast jet development we need to increase the size of our StructuralAnalysis team.As a Senior Structures Engineer within that team you will need to have a thorough knowledge Aircraft StructuralAnalysis covering metallics and composites using a range of analysis techniques from traditional hand calculationsthrough to computational techniques such as Finite Element Analysis.Engineering knowledge sufficient to supervise junior/early career engineers.Core DutiesTypical duties include (but are not limited to):Typically, you will have experience in one or more of the following areas:· Structural sizing and analysis· Finite Element AnalysisDependent upon your specialist experience and knowledge, you will be responsible for activities such as:· Defining and carrying out engineering analysis tasks allocated to you and to your team members.· Mentoring and developing less experienced colleagues to build up the team's knowledge, skill andexperience across the Structures discipline.· Ensuring effective interactions between team mates, suppliers, customers and others, to develop efficientand effective working practices, and resolving issues as they arise to maintain this effectiveness.· Carrying out analysis of structure using finite element analysis, traditional hand-calculations and calculationsusing a variety of software applications, to demonstrate that the structural design meets relevantcertification and project requirements.· Fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.· Individual RequirementsTPBN1_UKTJ
