Cooper Parry Finance Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a leading business in the search for a Payroll Process Analyst to join a major finance transformation programme, supporting the Payroll workstream.
\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Process Analyst, Payroll Specialist or Process Improvement professional to play a key role in transforming and enhancing payroll processes across a complex organisation.
\nWorking closely with stakeholders across Finance, HR and the wider business, you will support the development of a more efficient, controlled and compliant payroll operating model. You'll be involved in documenting, analysing and improving end-to-end payroll processes while helping to deliver a high-profile transformation programme.
\nThe role will be based four days per week from our client's office in Cumbernauld.
\nThe Role
\nYou will provide analytical, process improvement and project delivery support across the Payroll workstream, helping to identify opportunities for standardisation, enhance operational efficiency and support the successful implementation of future-state payroll processes.
\nKey responsibilities include:
\n- \n
- Supporting the delivery of the Payroll workstream and coordinating inputs from key stakeholders. \n
- Documenting payroll process maps, operating principles and service expectations. \n
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and standardisation across the end-to-end payroll cycle. \n
- Applying LEAN and continuous improvement methodologies to reduce inefficiencies and strengthen controls. \n
- Conducting root cause analysis to improve payroll accuracy, compliance and operational effectiveness. \n
- Supporting the design and documentation of payroll processes, including payroll inputs, calculations, reconciliations, approvals and statutory reporting. \n
- Developing process requirements, KPI frameworks, reporting requirements and governance materials. \n
- Tracking risks, issues and dependencies across the workstream. \n
- Supporting payroll system, workflow and readiness activities as part of the wider transformation programme. \n
- Assisting with implementation, go-live activities and business-as-usual handover. \n
About You
\nWe're keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:
\n- \n
- Experience within business process analysis, continuous improvement, payroll operations or transformation environments. \n
- A strong understanding of payroll processes, controls and compliance requirements. \n
- Experience applying LEAN, process optimisation or similar continuous improvement methodologies. \n
- Exposure to finance change, project delivery or transformation programmes. \n
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. \n
- The ability to translate complex information into practical and actionable recommendations. \n
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills. \n
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word. \n
- Experience working across Finance and HR functions would be highly advantageous. \n
