\n Are you passionate about supporting neurodiverse young people into employment? We are seeking a Functional Skills Tutor to deliver engaging, inclusive education as part of a dynamic Supported Internship programme in London.\n
\n
\n
\n
\n You will plan and deliver classroom sessions (virtual and in-person), support interns to achieve Functional Skills qualifications (Entry Level 3 – Level 2), and provide 1:1 tuition when needed. You will work closely with employers, families, job coaches, and local authorities to help interns build confidence, skills, and progress into sustainable work.\n

\n Main Duties and Responsibilities \n

  • \n
    \n Deliver engaging daily lessons (in-person and virtual)\n
  • \n
  • \n
    \n Support interns to complete accredited portfolios (e.g. Pearson’s WorkSkills)\n
  • \n
  • \n
    \n Provide 1:1 tuition where needed\n
  • \n
  • \n
    \n Assess learning needs and develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs)\n
  • \n
  • \n
    \n Work with employers and job coaches to prepare interns for work\n
  • \n
  • \n
    \n Track progress, attend reviews, and contribute to student career planning\n
  • \n
  • \n
    \n Promote the emotional, social and academic welfare of interns\n
  • \n

\n Experience \n
\n
\n
    \n
  • Proven success engaging SEN or neurodiverse learners
  • \n
  • Experience delivering group teaching and one-to-one tuition
  • \n
  • Strong track record of achieving outcomes for young people
  • \n
  • Confident communicator across stakeholders (e.g. families, employers)
  • \n
  • Knowledge of Functional Skills, employment law, and disability legislation
  • \n
  • Excellent organisational, IT and problem-solving skills
  • \n
  • Able to work independently and within a wider team
  • \n
