Do you thrive in a fast-paced production environment where safety, teamwork and operational excellence come first?We're looking for a Quarry Supervisor to join our team at Wellington Quarry in Hereford where you'll play a key role in overseeing daily operations, leading a skilled team, and ensuring our quarry continues to operate safely, efficiently and productively.If you want the opportunity to work with a leading UK construction materials business taking ownership of day-to-day quarry operations and site performance, leading and developing a multi-skilled team then this is the role for you.What Youll Be DoingAs Quarry Supervisor you'll be responsible for supporting the management of a busy sand and gravel operation, ensuring production targets are achieved safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest operational standards. Your responsibilities will also include:Supervising and coordinating Operators, Fitters and Electricians across the siteSupporting the safe and efficient operation of mobile crushing and screening plants along with other mobile plant equipmentWorking closely with other Plant Supervisors to maximise plant availability, performance and productivityEnsuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards at all timesCompleting administrative and compliance-related activities accurately and efficientlyUsing operational systems including SAP, Fortek, Excel and similar platformsSupporting general plant maintenance and housekeeping activitiesEncouraging a strong safety culture and leading by exampleWhat We're Looking ForWe're keen to hear from candidates who have experience within quarrying, aggregates, asphalt, mining, recycling or other heavy manufacturing / industrial processing environment.Suitable candidates will have experience effectively supervising teams within a production or operational environment. You will also have:A strong understanding of quarry operations and associated health and safety requirementsRegulation 8.1(c) appointment status (8.1d will be considered) with the desire and capability to progressExcellent communication and organisational skillsConfidence building relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levelsAbility and passion to inspire your team, drive operational performance and create an environment where everyone can succeedStrong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to continuous improvementGood IT skills and experience using operational systemsFlexible, hands-on approach with the ability to lead from the frontExperience operating or maintaining Excavators, Front-end loaders, Dump trucks and Fixed and mobile crushing and screening plants (advantageous)Located near Hereford, this role is easily commutable from Worcester, Gloucester, Cheltenham, Ledbury, Ludlow, Malvern, Kidderminster, Tenbury Wells, Monmouth, Ross-on-Wye, Cinderford and surrounding areas.Why TarmacAt Tarmac, we want to get to know you.
