We are recruiting for a proactive and organised Site Stores Assistant to join a busy waste recovery facility in North Yorkshire.
\n This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for someone with stores, warehouse or inventory experience who would like to work within an engineering and operational environment.

\n

## The Role

\n

You will play an important part in ensuring the site's maintenance and operational teams have the parts, tools and materials they need to keep the facility running safely and efficiently.
\n Your responsibilities will include:

  • Receiving and checking deliveries against purchase orders and delivery notes.
  • \n
  • Inspecting deliveries for accuracy, quality and damage.
  • \n
  • Booking goods into the stock management system.
  • \n
  • Storing spare parts, materials and equipment correctly and safely.
  • \n
  • Issuing tools, consumables and spare parts to engineering and operational teams.
  • \n
  • Maintaining accurate inventory and stock records.
  • \n
  • Carrying out routine stock checks and assisting with stocktakes.
  • \n
  • Monitoring stock levels and identifying replenishment requirements.
  • \n
  • Preparing parts and materials for planned maintenance and site outages.
  • \n
  • Handling and storing hazardous materials in accordance with COSHH procedures.
  • \n
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and compliant stores environment.
  • \n
  • Supporting improvements to stores and inventory processes.
  • \n

## About You

\n

We are looking for someone who is organised, reliable and comfortable working in a busy industrial environment.
\n Ideally, you will have:

Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, stock control or inventory role. Experience within an engineering, manufacturing, waste, utilities or industrial environment would be particularly advantageous. Experience using stock control or inventory management systems. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineering and operational colleagues. GCSEs or equivalent, including English and Maths. \n

### Desirable

Forklift truck licence. Basic knowledge of mechanical or electrical components. Experience working within a regulated or industrial environment.\n
