Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Job Description
Location: Hatfield, Hertfordshire
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00am 5:00pm
Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays
Overtime: Available
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and highly reputable organisation based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire.
\nThis is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanical engineer looking for a stable, Monday-to-Friday position with excellent company benefits, a strong private pension scheme, overtime opportunities and genuine training and progression prospects.
\nYou will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across a range of building services and mechanical systems, ensuring equipment and facilities remain safe, reliable and operational.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance. \n
- Maintain and service a range of mechanical building services equipment. \n
- Work on pumps, valves and associated mechanical systems. \n
- Maintain and fault-find on boilers and chillers. \n
- Maintain calorifiers, FCUs and AHUs. \n
- Diagnose mechanical faults and carry out effective repairs. \n
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and to a high standard. \n
- Complete maintenance records and relevant documentation. \n
- Work proactively to identify potential issues before they result in equipment failure. \n
- Support the wider engineering and facilities team when required. \n
The successful Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will ideally have:

- Previous experience within a mechanical maintenance or building services environment. \n
- Strong practical knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment. \n
- Experience working with pumps, valves, boilers, chillers, calorifiers, FCUs and AHUs. \n
- A good understanding of PPM and reactive maintenance. \n
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. \n
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team. \n
- A professional and proactive approach to maintenance. \n
- Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications would be advantageous. \n
