School Catering Assistant

Pertemps are delighted to be working with our public sector client to recruit for School Lunch Assistants on a temporary basis.

\n 📣 Role: School Lunch Assistant
\n 📍 Location: Edinburgh North East and South East
\n 🔗 Pay: £13.66 per hour
\n 🕒 Hours: Monday to Thursday (Hours can differ dependent on location but typically 10:00-14:00)
\n 💰 Duration: Temporary Ongoing (This is a part-time, term-time position)

\n 📅 Start Date: ASAP

This role requires a PVG Certificate (£59 for a new application or £18 to update an existing certificate).

Role Responsibilities

\n
• Help prepare and serve tasty, nutritious school meals
\n
• Provide friendly, helpful service to pupils and staff
\n
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean and safe
\n
• Cleaning dishes and removing kitchen waste
\n
• Work in a supportive and welcoming team
\n

\n
• Approachable, dependable and a team player
\n
• Basic food hygiene knowledge (helpful but not essential)
\n
• Able to stay calm and organised during busy periods
