Managed Security Analyst

A growing UK Managed Service Provider (MSP) is looking for an experienced Managed Security Analyst to join their security function.

This is a hands-on role sitting between the IT Helpdesk and SOC, requiring someone with experience across both IT Support and Cyber Security operations within an MSP or managed services environment.

The Role

• Monitor, triage and investigate security alerts across customer environments.
\n
• Act as an escalation point for security-related issues from the IT Support team.
\n
• Support incident investigation, containment and remediation.
\n
• Work across Microsoft 365, Azure, Defender, Entra ID and other security tooling.
\n
• Carry out customer security reviews and support vulnerability management.
\n
• Support Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus assessments and remediation.
\n
• Assist with customer security projects, including MFA and security tooling deployments.
\n
• Work directly with customers to explain security issues and provide practical recommendations.

About You

\n
• Proven experience across both IT Support and Cyber Security/SOC operations.
\n
• Previous experience within an MSP, MSSP or managed services environment.
\n
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Microsoft 365, Azure, Defender and Entra ID.
\n
• Experience with Cyber Essentials / Cyber Essentials Plus.
\n
• Experience with security monitoring, incident response and vulnerability management.
\n
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
\n
• Confident communicating with both technical teams and customers.
