\nJob Type: Temporary (3 Month Contract initially - with the potential to be extended

\nSalary: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
The Role\nWe are seeking a Security & Pastoral Officer to join a Further Education college in Rotherham on an initial 3-month temporary contract. Working across the campus, you will help ensure a safe and secure environment while providing support to students, including young and vulnerable learners.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Maintain a safe, secure and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors. \n
- Monitor and patrol campus buildings and grounds. \n
- Respond effectively to incidents, safeguarding concerns and emergency situations. \n
- Operate CCTV systems and complete incident reports as required. \n
- Support students with pastoral issues, welfare concerns and behavioural matters. \n
- Liaise with safeguarding, student services and curriculum teams when appropriate. \n
- Ensure compliance with site security procedures and health & safety regulations. \n
- Provide excellent customer service and act as a professional ambassador for the organisation. \n
- \n
- Previous experience working within a security role. \n
- Experience working within an educational setting and/or with young people and vulnerable individuals. \n
- Valid SIA Licence. \n
- CCTV Operator qualification/licence. \n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. \n
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations. \n
- Understanding of safeguarding principles is highly desirable. \n
The role will involve a rota of shifts including:

- Early Shift: 08:00 - 16:30 \n
- Late Shift: 10:00 - 18:00 \n
- Occasional later shifts depending on business requirements. \n
