Location: Moor Row, Cumbria & Warrington, Cheshire | Hybrid – 3 days per week onsite
Salary: £51,500–£63,500 per annum DOE + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) Engineer to join a leading specialist engineering organisation delivering critical projects across nuclear, clean energy, defence and civil decommissioning.

As a Senior EC&I Engineer, you will:

  • Lead the design and delivery of EC&I systems within regulated and safety-critical environments.
  • \n
  • Develop and deliver robust engineering solutions in line with applicable nuclear safety standards.
  • \n
  • Provide technical leadership across complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • \n
  • Work closely with clients, regulators, suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical challenges and drive successful delivery.
  • \n
  • Produce, review and manage technical documentation, including specifications and safety case contributions.
  • \n
  • Support project delivery, technical coordination and continuous improvement across engineering activities.
  • \n
  • Help maintain the highest standards of safety, quality and engineering excellence.
  • \n

We're looking for someone with:

\n
    \n
  • Proven experience designing and delivering EC&I systems in regulated environments.
  • \n
  • Knowledge and application of nuclear safety standards, including IEC 61508 and BS EN 61511.
  • \n
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex projects.
  • \n
  • Strong technical communication skills, with the confidence to engage with clients, regulators and suppliers.
  • \n
  • Experience producing and reviewing technical documentation and contributing to safety cases.
  • \n
  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • \n
  • Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards Chartered status is preferred.
  • \n

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) clearance for this role.
