Job Title: Maintenance Engineer Location: Bellshill, North Lanarkshire Salary: £44,600 + Overtime Paid at 1.75x + Weekly Pay Permanent | Backshift | Monday-Friday | 12:00pm-8:30pm Are you a Maintenance Engineer looking for a secure Monday to Friday role within a well-established food manufacturing business?We're recruiting for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a successful FMCG manufacturer in Bellshill. This is an excellent opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer who enjoys fault finding, planned maintenance, electrical maintenance and continuous improvement within a fast-paced production environment.The successful Maintenance Engineer will complete an initial training period on days before moving permanently onto the backshift.The RoleAs the Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for keeping production running by carrying out planned preventative maintenance, responding to equipment breakdowns and completing project work across the site.You'll work independently on backshift while supporting the Backshift Manager and forming part of a close-knit engineering team consisting of four engineers and a Facilities Manager.ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)Respond quickly to electrical and mechanical breakdownsFault find and repair manufacturing equipmentComplete reactive maintenance and planned maintenanceSupport engineering projects and continuous improvement activitiesMaintain accurate maintenance records through the CMMSMonitor engineering spare partsWork safely in line with Health & Safety proceduresCommunicate effectively with production and management teamsRequirementsElectrically biased Maintenance Engineer (approximately 70% electrical / 30% mechanical)Previous Maintenance Engineer experience within food manufacturing, FMCG or manufacturingStrong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience18th Edition qualification desirableExperience with automation systemsPLC fault-finding experience would be advantageousAbility to read electrical and pneumatic drawingsComfortable working independentlyStable employment history with long-term employersFull UK driving licence and own transportHoursMonday-FridayBackshift: 12:00pm-8:30pmInitial training period on day shift (5:30am-2:00pm)Salary & Benefits£44,600 basic salaryWeekly payOvertime paid at 1.75xCompany pension (5% employee / 3% employer)Death in Service (2x annual salary)Free parkingFree hot drinksIf you're a Maintenance Engineer with a strong electrical background looking for a long-term opportunity within a successful food manufacturing business, we'd love to hear from you.TPBN1_UKTJ
