Competitive Salary + Bonus + Excellent BenefitsThe Opportunity An industry-leading specialist contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join one of the UK's largest and most prestigious infrastructure projects.Working within a collaborative alliance environment, you'll play a key commercial role supporting the delivery of complex geotechnical and heavy civil engineering works on a nationally significant clean energy programme.The Role Reporting to the Managing Surveyor, you'll be responsible for the commercial management of major work packages, ensuring strong cost control, contractual compliance and accurate financial reporting. You'll also mentor junior Quantity Surveyors while working closely with operational and project teams to maximise commercial performance.Key Responsibilities Commercial Management Manage the commercial performance of allocated work packagesPrepare cost reports, forecasts, CVRs and financial analysisMonitor project budgets, cash flow and commercial performanceEnsure accurate valuation and payment processesProvide commercial support to senior project stakeholdersContract & Change Management Administer NEC4 contracts throughout the project lifecycleManage Early Warnings, Compensation Events and change controlMaintain robust commercial records and supporting documentationProvide contractual advice and commercial guidance to project teamsSupport dispute avoidance and commercial risk managementProcurement & Supply Chain Prepare subcontract enquiries and tender documentationEvaluate subcontractor quotations and negotiate agreementsManage subcontractor accounts from procurement through to final accountMonitor supplier performance and commercial complianceDrive value and best practice across the supply chainProject Controls & Risk Identify commercial risks and opportunitiesSupport programme reviews and commercial planningWork closely with operational teams to improve project performanceContribute to forecasting, reporting and cost managementEnsure commercial processes are followed across the projectLeadership Mentor and support Quantity Surveyors within the teamReview commercial outputs and maintain high standardsBuild strong relationships with clients, project teams and supply chain partnersPromote collaboration and continuous improvement across the commercial functionAbout You We're looking for someone with:Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying or Commercial ManagementExperience working as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor on major infrastructure or civil engineering projectsStrong commercial and contractual knowledgeExperience administering NEC contracts (NEC4 highly desirable)Excellent analytical and financial management skillsAbility to interpret technical drawings and specificationsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsWorking towards or already chartered (RICS, CIOB or ICES)Desirable Experience within heavy civil engineering, geotechnical or piling projectsAlliance or collaborative contracting experienceExperience managing Compensation Events and Early WarningsKnowledge of forecasting, CVRs and project cost reportingWhat's On Offer Competitive salaryAnnual performance bonusPrivate Medical InsuranceLife Assurance & Income ProtectionEnhanced pension contributionEnhanced sick pay25 days annual leave + bank holidays (increasing with service)Buy additional annual leavePaid professional membershipsEmployee Assistance ProgrammeOngoing professional development and career progressionThis is an outstanding opportunity to join a leading engineering contractor and play a key commercial role on one of the UK's flagship infrastructure projects, offering long-term career development within a collaborative and technically challenging environment.TPBN1_UKTJ
