Transport Planner

Brook Street Recruitment is delighted to be working with our client in Lisburn to recruit a Transport Planner to join their growing team.This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused professional with experience in logistics, transport, or warehousing to play a key role in ensuring efficient and cost-effective delivery operations.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and allocate deliveries in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.Schedule and assign work to drivers, confirming delivery and booking dates.Ensure customer delivery requirements are met and service levels maintained.Build and maintain strong relationships with drivers, customers, and internal teams.Produce delivery schedules, reports, and operational documentation.Liaise with Customer Services and Sales teams to manage delivery expectations and resolve issues proactively.Verify order information before scheduling deliveries.Manage workload effectively while handling customer enquiries across multiple communication channels.Maintain accurate records and provide information as required.Meet performance targets, deadlines, and service standards.Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer service.Uphold company values and deliver excellent customer care at all times.CriteriaPrevious experience as a Transport Planner or within a similar logistics environment.Strong understanding of transport-related IT systems.Good geographical knowledge of Northern Ireland, Great Britain, and the Republic of Ireland.Excellent planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Ability to identify and drive operational improvements.Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across all business levels.Able to perform well under pressure and manage competing priorities.BenefitsFull-time, permanent position.Monday to Friday, 11:00am to 8:00pm.Salary: £33,000 - £37,000 DOE .Additional annual leave based on service.5% matched pension contribution.Life assurance/death in service benefit.Employee Assistance Programme (EAP).Free gym membership.Certified training courses.Career development and progression opportunities.Additional company benefits.To apply, please submit your CV via the apply link.Brook Street NMR is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.TPBN1_UKTJ
