Glass Maintenance Engineer | Elton | Permanent|Starting Salary£54,080.00 - raising to £60,731.18 after probation/training package completion
\n39 hrs per week following a shift pattern
\nThe Glass Maintenance Engineer (Internal Job Title Cold End Technician) is a critical link between advanced technical capability and front line operational leadership. The role combines hands on experience in Cold End technology with active support and coordination of cold end performance across shifts.
\nResponsible for real time monitoring, fault diagnosis and root cause analysis (RCA) the Cold End Technician will lead efforts to reduce losses, enhance equipment reliability and executing proactive maintenance strategies. In addition to technical accountability, the role provides on shift supervision ensuring compliance of line controller daily duties.
\nThe Cold End Technician also serves as the primary technical point of contact for the Cold End Team Managersupporting continuous improvement and rapid escalation when required.
\nThe Key Requirements

- Formal engineering qualification (mechanical, electrical or mechatronics) or equivalent \n
- Hands on technical experience in an industrial setting \n
- Ability to conduct technical fault finding and troubleshooting \n
- Understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (PRISMA) \n
- Ability to conduct preventive and corrective maintenance execution \n
- Goodunderstanding of product quality and defect detection systems and methods \n
- Ability to read andunderstand technical documentation and achieve SOP Compliance \n
- Deliver team leadership and shiftsupport \n
- Effective Communication and Cross-Functional Colloboration \n
- Support line changeovers and process adjustments \n
- Display high levels of discipline, safety and quality standards \n
- Understanding of spare parts handling and inventory feedback \n
- Basic computer literacy \n
