Lead an Outstanding Early Learning and Childcare Service

\n

We are seeking an experienced, passionate and inspirational Nursery Manager to lead our established Early Learning and Childcare setting and undertake the role of Registered Manager with the Care Inspectorate. For over 25 years we have provided high-quality care and learning experiences for children and families within our community. We are committed to creating an environment where children feel safe, respected, included and valued and where families and staff are supported to thrive. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Early Years leader to shape the future direction of our service, drive continuous improvement and ensure the highest standards of care, learning and wellbeing for children aged 0-5 years. The successful candidate will lead and manage all aspects of nursery operations, ensuring compliance with Care Inspectorate regulations, SSSC requirements, Disclosure Scotland safer recruitment standards and current Scottish Government guidance including:

We are looking for someone who:

\n

• Has substantial leadership experience within Early Learning and Childcare

\n

• Is registered with, or eligible for registration with, the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) as a Manager of a Day Care of Children Service

\n

• Has the qualifications required to meet Care Inspectorate and SSSC registration requirements for a Registered Manager role

\n

• Can inspire, motivate and develop teams to deliver excellent outcomes for children

\n

• Demonstrates a strong commitment to children's rights, inclusion, equality and safeguarding

\n

Responsible For Lead

\n

Support, and manage all team members to ensure collective success.

Purpose of the Role

\n

To provide effective leadership, management and strategic direction for the nursery and to fulfil the role of Registered Manager in accordance with Care Inspectorate requirements. The post holder will ensure the delivery of high-quality, safe, nurturing and inclusive care and learning experiences which promote children's rights, wellbeing, development and achievement. The post holder will lead a culture of continuous improvement and ensure compliance with all regulatory, legislative and organisational requirements.

Leadership and Management

\n

• Provide visible, effective and inspirational leadership across the service.

\n

• Create a positive culture which promotes teamwork, respect, accountability and professional learning.

\n

• Lead staff through change and continuous improvement initiatives.

\n

• Manage staffing, recruitment, induction, supervision and performance management. • Support workforce development and succession planning. Quality of Care and Learning

\n

• Ensure children receive high-quality care and learning experiences.

\n

• Lead implementation of Realising the Ambition and Curriculum for Excellence.

\n

• Promote children's rights and participation in decision making.

\n

• Ensure practice is inclusive and responsive to individual needs.

\n

• Monitor learning and development outcomes and ensure high standards across the nursery. Safeguarding and Child Protection

\n

• Act as Designated Child Protection Lead.

\n

• Ensure all safeguarding and child protection procedures are implemented effectively.

\n

• Promote a culture where safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.

\n

• Ensure staff understand their responsibilities under national and local child protection guidance.

\n

• Manage concerns, incidents and referrals appropriately. Regulatory Compliance

\n

• Fulfil all responsibilities associated with the role of Registered Manager.

\n

• Represent the nursery professionally at meetings and forums.

\n

• Monitor occupancy and staffing levels.

\n

• Ensure staff deployment meets ratio requirements.

\n

• Oversee health and safety and risk management processes.

\n

• Ensure the nursery environment remains safe, stimulating and welcoming.
