Job Description

Hays are currently recruiting for a Domestic Electrician to join the facilities maintenance team at HMP Styal, Wilmslow.This is a temporary to permanent opportunity, offering long-term stability and the chance to secure a permanent role within a well-established maintenance contract.

The Role

\n

Working within a secure prison environment, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the establishment.Key duties include:

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
    • \n
  • Reactive electrical repairs
    • \n
  • Fault-finding and diagnostics
    • \n
  • Testing and inspection of electrical systems
    • \n
  • Maintenance of lighting, power and building services
    • \n
  • Ensuring compliance with current electrical regulations
    • \n
  • Supporting wider FM maintenance activities where required
    • \n

Working Pattern

39 Hours Per Week Temp to Perm Opportunity 1 in 3 Weekend Rota Stable, Long-Term Role Based at HMP Styal, Wilmslow

Requirements

\n
    \n
  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
    • \n
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
    • \n
  • Experience within maintenance or facilities management environments
    • \n
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
    • \n
  • Full UK Driving Licence (desirable)
    • \n
  • Ability to pass prison security clearance
    • \n
