Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Pay: $21/hr | Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP | Contract or Contract‑to‑Hire Opportunity
BG Staffing is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician for a residential property located in Indianapolis, IN. This is a great opportunity for an experienced maintenance professional looking for steady weekday hours with the potential to transition into a long-term role.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and basic carpentry
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly and efficiently
- Prepare apartments for move-in (turns and make-readies)
- Complete work orders in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and property policies
- Assist with preventative maintenance and upkeep of common areas
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance shop organization
Additional Notes: MUST have valid driver's license
- Certified Maintenance Technician designation or equivalent experience
- Previous apartment or property maintenance experience preferred
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
