As an SLPA in this dynamic setting, your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring students receive the tailored support they need. Working closely with a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll contribute directly to student progress while strengthening your own professional skills and experience.

Qualifications:

  • Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license (TDLR).
  • Bachelor’s degree emphasizing Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related area as required by state licensing.
  • Completion of clinical observation and assisting experience meeting state standards.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and follow guidance from a licensed SLP.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in a school-based setting is a plus, but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individual and group therapy sessions under the guidance of an SLP.
  • Implement customized therapy plans and document student progress.
  • Carry out speech, language, and hearing screenings.
  • Prepare engaging therapy materials and support classroom interventions.
  • Maintain accurate and secure student records following all regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to reinforce student goals.
  • Participate in IEP activities and related student support initiatives.
  • Uphold all district, state, and professional standards for practice.
