Working closely with a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist, you’ll contribute directly to student progress while strengthening your own professional skills and experience.
Qualifications:
- Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license (TDLR).
- Bachelor’s degree emphasizing Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related area as required by state licensing.
- Completion of clinical observation and assisting experience meeting state standards.
- Ability to work collaboratively and follow guidance from a licensed SLP.
- Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is a plus, but not essential.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group therapy sessions under the guidance of an SLP.
- Implement customized therapy plans and document student progress.
- Carry out speech, language, and hearing screenings.
- Prepare engaging therapy materials and support classroom interventions.
- Maintain accurate and secure student records following all regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to reinforce student goals.
- Participate in IEP activities and related student support initiatives.
- Uphold all district, state, and professional standards for practice.
