Step into an impactful role supporting students across multiple school sites as a contract Occupational Therapist in the Hartford, CT area. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate OT to make a meaningful difference during the fall semester, working onsite from August 27 through November. With a district-wide focus, you’ll engage with students of varying ages and needs, collaborating with dedicated educators and support staff.

Key Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Occupational Therapist license in Connecticut (required).
  • Previous experience in school-based settings preferred.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt therapy strategies to a range of student abilities and ages.
  • Comfortable traveling between multiple schools within the district.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs.
  • Travel to multiple school sites throughout the district to provide comprehensive coverage.
  • Assess students’ functional abilities and develop individualized intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes.
  • Document progress, maintain required records, and contribute to IEP meetings.
  • Provide guidance, training, and resources to school staff as needed.
