About Our Facility

Our Paulding campus is recognized with Magnet Designation and boasts a 4-star CMS rating for patient satisfaction. The unit features 28 beds, primarily focused on post-surgical care, with some telemetry and general medical-surgical services. This award-winning floor is committed to delivering exceptional patient care, characterized by high empathy and positive energy.

Position Overview

The RN Clinical Nurse plays a vital role as part of an interdisciplinary team, consisting of both licensed and unlicensed caregivers, ensuring that patients, families, and significant others receive personalized, high-quality, and safe care. This role operates within a clinical setting overseen by Nurse Managers and supported by our Shared Governance Model. RN competencies are aligned with these frameworks and reflect our organizational values.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct the Nursing Process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical care, utilizing evidence-based practices.
• Deliver patient-centered care that is tailored to specific population characteristics, ensuring cultural diversity is respected.
• Facilitate bedside shift reports, keeping patients and their significant others informed and focusing on their care goals.
• Coordinate and document safe, quality patient care, promoting a professional care delivery model.
• Engage in teamwork and collaboration, practicing fiscal responsibility and supporting the recruitment and retention of healthcare team members.
• Participate in performance improvement initiatives, research, and the utilization of findings to enhance patient care quality.
• Act as a preceptor or mentor for other nurses and staff, fostering a qualified workforce and a healthy work environment.
• Encourage evidence-based practice, nursing research, and performance improvement within the nursing field.
• Adhere to all healthcare system policies, procedures, and clinical competencies, including legal and accreditation standards.
• Engage in data collection and formulate relevant clinical questions to advance evidence-based practice.
• Contribute to the development of protocols and procedures in collaboration with care managers and other healthcare team members.
• Comply with all organizational policies, work standards, and the code of conduct.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing or a Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Current RN licensure (Single State or Multi-state Compact).
• A minimum of 2 years of direct patient care nursing experience.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English, with basic computer skills to support clinical care.
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills, along with excellent customer service abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies with decisiveness and respect.
• Demonstrated evidence-based practice and strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
