Job Description
We are hiring for experienced Assemblers for a great company located in the Byron center area for 1st shift!
Shift - Mon-Friday 5am-3:30pm Saturday- 5 hours as needed
2nd shift-Mon-Friday 1:00pm-11:30pm Sat as needed
Purpose: Assembly is responsible for the assembly, inspection, and packing of an entire product according to customer specifications.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Inspect parts and components to ensure they meet quality standards.
· Assemble product according to work order and print specifications.
· Package finished product and prepare for shipment per customer specifications.
· Use necessary hand tools/equipment to perform job.
· Operate overhead crane to move product.
· Perform final inspection of finished product.
· Complete necessary training and certification to operate hi-lo equipment safely and efficiently as needed to perform job duties.
· Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
· Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills/Qualifications:
· Ability to understand instructions from drawings, blueprints, or written details.
· Acute attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to apply logic to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
· Strong manual dexterity.
· Familiarity with basic hand tools.
· Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently.
· Ability to read a tape measure to the sixteenth of an inch.
Education/Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED.
· 1+ year in manufacturing environment.
Requirements/ Physical requirements / Work Environment:
· Ability to read/write/speak in English
· Ability to stand, walk and perform physical tasks that require frequent bending and twisting for extended periods of time.
· Ability to lift 50lbs. occasionally.
· Hi-lo certification may be needed to perform job duties and requires a valid driver’s license.
· Use of personal protective equipment (safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, etc.)
· Occasional exposure to varying temperatures (heat and/or cold).
· Exposure to moderate or high noise levels.
Must have valid Driver's license to become hi-lo certified. Ability to compare blueprint with finished part. Ability to read a tape measure to 32nd of an inch. Ability to occasionally lift 50 lbs. Position requires standing for entire shift with frequent bending and twisting.
Attire:
Steel toed boots/shoes, Jeans that aren't too holey, baggy or saggy, dark T-shirt nothing too graphic. NO Shorts/Tank
