Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program (or similar)
  • Current SLPA license or eligibility for licensure
  • Experience working with children or in educational environments preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and with a multidisciplinary team
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting student progress

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist speech-language pathologists in providing direct speech and language therapy to students under supervision
  • Implement therapy activities according to individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Track and report student progress and maintain accurate records
  • Support data collection and progress monitoring in collaboration with supervising SLPs
  • Prepare materials and resources for therapy sessions
  • Foster a positive, encouraging environment for students to develop communication abilities
