Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching credential (California or eligible for reciprocity)
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
- Experience providing instruction and support to students with mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and a variety of school professionals
- Adaptable, organized, and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs within a safe, supportive classroom
- Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements
- Assess student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Collaborate with general education staff, administrators, therapists, and families to ensure consistent support and communication
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and school functions as appropriate
- Maintain documentation and complete required reports in a timely manner
