Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching credential (California or eligible for reciprocity)
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
  • Experience providing instruction and support to students with mild to moderate or moderate to severe disabilities
  • Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and a variety of school professionals
  • Adaptable, organized, and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students’ unique learning needs within a safe, supportive classroom
  • Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in accordance with district, state, and federal requirements
  • Assess student progress and adjust interventions as needed
  • Collaborate with general education staff, administrators, therapists, and families to ensure consistent support and communication
  • Participate in IEP meetings, staff development, and school functions as appropriate
  • Maintain documentation and complete required reports in a timely manner
