What you’ll bring:

• Current active Missouri substitute certificate (DESE) or in the process—must be active by start date
• Prior experience working in schools, specifically supporting students with behavior needs
• Understanding of Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) and willingness to assist with toileting as needed
• Able to adapt to a variety of elementary, middle, and high school settings across multiple schools
• Comfortable with both 1:1 and classroom aide roles
• Ready to undergo fingerprints specific to the North Kansas City district requirements

Your responsibilities:

• Respond to daily shift opportunities via the Spindle app, filling in as needed at schools within the district
• Provide dedicated assistance to SPED students, promoting positive behaviors and supporting individualized learning goals
• Collaborate closely with instructional teams to help shape a nurturing, inclusive environment
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling student information
