Job Description
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a School Psychologist in a vibrant Missouri district. This full-time assignment runs from August 24, 2026, through May 28, 2027, and offers a balanced caseload while serving up to two school sites (specific campuses to be determined within either the Hazelwood or Bayless Districts). You’ll impact young lives from elementary through high school, focusing on essential assessments, evaluations, and reports central to Child Find initiatives.
What you bring:
- Active Missouri Department of Education certification in School Psychology
- Previous experience conducting student assessments and evaluations in K-12 settings (elementary and high school experience is beneficial)
- Strong documentation and reporting skills
- Ability to collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Willingness and eligibility to complete credentialing requirements, including drug screening and fingerprinting
Role highlights:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 30–40 students depending on assignment, with district leadership prioritizing manageable workloads to avoid overextension
- Focus primarily on psychoeducational assessments, eligibility determination, and formal evaluations
- Maintain comprehensive reports in compliance with state and federal mandates
- Participate in collaborative meetings to support student learning and development
- Receive exceptional support from the district, ensuring a welcoming professional environment for contract professionals
Additional Details:
- On-site presence required
- Work approximately 37.5 hours per week
- Final contract contingent on internal hiring and need
