Senior Tax Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our team in Westlake Village, CA. This position is ideal for a seasoned public accounting professional with 10+ years of experience in public accounting and strong expertise in individual and business taxation.

The Senior Tax Accountant will manage complex tax engagements, prepare and review tax returns, communicate directly with clients, research tax matters, and provide tax planning support with minimal supervision.

This is a fully on-site position. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses

• Handle complex individual, partnership, S-Corporation, and related business tax returns

• Manage tax engagements from preparation through completion and filing

• Research federal and California tax issues and interpret applicable regulations

• Identify tax planning opportunities and provide recommendations

• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and information requests

• Respond to IRS and state tax notices as needed

• Perform bookkeeping and accounting support when required

• Maintain accurate workpapers, documentation, and client files

• Ensure all engagements are completed accurately and within established deadlines

• Work independently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail

• 10+ years of professional experience in public accounting

• Extensive experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns

• Strong knowledge of federal and California tax laws

• Experience with high-net-worth individuals and/or closely held businesses preferred

• Strong proficiency with tax preparation software and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong client-service orientation
