Job Description
Our organization is seeking a dedicated OB/GYN Physician to join our team at a leading hospital in Richmond. This position offers the chance to work within a large group of medical professionals at our flagship facility, which serves as a tertiary referral center for obstetric care. The hospital provides on-site OB Hospitalist coverage during nights and weekends, along with 24/7 in-hospital support from our skilled midwife team. Call responsibilities consist of back-up call from home.
Job Details- Office Schedule: Monday to Friday, with the last patient appointment scheduled between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM.
- Lunch and OR Time: Blocked time is allocated for lunch and operating room duties.
- Practice Setting: Both outpatient and inpatient care.
- Call Schedule: 1:6 ratio (back-up call from home; primary call managed by the CNM team and OB Hospitalists).
- Administrative Time: Half a day per week dedicated to administrative tasks.
- Hospital Credentialing: Credentialing at the hospital is required.
- Average Patient Load: 25-30 patients per day.
- Patient Age Range: 14 years and older.
- Practice Support: On-site ultrasound and phlebotomy services, along with dedicated weekly operating room time.
- Required Skills: Proficiency in general OB-GYN and high-risk obstetrics, capability to perform circumcisions and operative deliveries as necessary. Collaboration with midwives is essential.
