Position OverviewWe are in search of a Gynecologic Surgeon to join our team, focusing on performing gynecologic surgeries. This role emphasizes high-quality outpatient care, leveraging the latest advancements and surgical techniques. Please note that there will be no obstetrical duties associated with this position.
Ideal Candidate Profile- A minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience in gynecologic surgery.
- Proficient in diagnosing and treating a diverse range of gynecologic conditions, including but not limited to endometriosis, leiomyomas, and adnexal masses.
- Ability to identify, prevent, and manage potential surgical complications arising from gynecologic procedures.
- Demonstrated competency in diagnosis and treatment to uphold high standards of patient care and safety.
- A patient-centered approach that enhances the overall patient experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Interest in Population Health Management.
- Gather and document patient information, including medical histories, reports, and examination findings, while ensuring accurate medical records.
- Review patient histories and conduct physical examinations.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a variety of gynecologic conditions, providing preventive care as needed.
- Deliver relationship-centered care that addresses both psychosocial and physical patient needs.
- Perform hysterectomies and myomectomies for benign conditions, utilizing both open and minimally invasive techniques.
- Conduct diagnostic and operative hysteroscopy and laparoscopy.
- Perform diagnostic cystoscopy and endometrial ablation.
- Execute in-office procedures, including but not limited to LEEP, colposcopy, hysteroscopy/endometrial biopsy, vulvar biopsy, and pessary care.
- Maintain effective and cordial communication with the clinical team to ensure comprehensive quality care delivery.
- Engage in medical staff educational programs and meetings.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent international degree.
- Completion of a four-year postgraduate medical training from an accredited residency program in the relevant field, with training in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery.
- Open to both experienced and newly trained candidates.
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG).
- Robotic certification is highly preferred.
- Must hold a current, unrestricted New York State medical license.
- Active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration or eligibility for registration is required.
- Active Medicare/Medicaid enrollment or eligibility to enroll is necessary.
- BLS or ACLS certification is required, with both being strongly preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (preferably EPIC) and Microsoft Office is required.
