About the Area:
Kern County provides physicians and their families with some of the most affordable housing options in the region, alongside access to several of California's premier natural attractions. It is the nearest area to renowned outdoor experiences in Yosemite, King's Canyon, Sequoia, and Death Valley National Parks. The city of Bakersfield is a hidden treasure, featuring groves of mature trees, spacious streets, and beautiful homes, all without the usual Southern California traffic congestion.

Working Here:
Kern County stands out within our organization. With its small-town charm and less urban atmosphere, there is a genuine sense of community and belonging. It is the only medical center within our organization that can convene as a unified group simultaneously. The smaller size of our area encourages open communication at all levels, giving physicians a voice and facilitating ongoing improvements, both minor and significant. Physicians benefit from the stability and support of a larger system while enjoying the camaraderie of a smaller medical group. New team members are swiftly integrated into the system, promoting rapid learning and support. This welcoming culture extends beyond the medical center, as physicians' families actively engage with one another through various social and cultural activities.

Equal Employment Opportunity:
All external candidates must successfully complete a background check and drug screening. Qualified applicants with arrest and/or conviction records will be evaluated for employment in accordance with federal, state, and local laws, including the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. All qualified candidates will be considered for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, protected veteran status, or disability.
