Job Description
TeamHealth is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible ICU physician to join our established critical care team at Baptist Health - Shelby Hospital in Alabaster, Alabama.
Responsibilities
- \n
- Provide direct patient care in the ICU, including daily patient assessment, management of life-support technologies, ventilator management, hemodynamic support and critical care procedures \n
- Collaborate with specialists, hospitalists, nursing, respiratory therapy and ancillary services to develop and implement individualized care plans \n
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds, clinical decision-making, and family communication \n
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record system \n
- Support quality improvement initiatives, patient safety efforts and institutional protocols within the ICU \n
- Participate in scheduled coverage, including nights or weekend call as defined by the department schedule \n
Qualifications\n
- \n
- Board certified/board eligible in critical care medicine, internal medicine (IM), or family medicine (FM) \n
- Alabama medical license or eligibility \n
- Strong clinical and communication skills \n
