This part-time, onsite opportunity runs from late August through mid-May, with flexible hours over three days each week. Essential qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work
  • Valid licensure through the Minnesota Board of Social Work (MSW, LISW, LICSW, LGSW)
  • Current Minnesota Board of Teaching License
  • At least three years of experience working with children and families in a school setting

Key responsibilities:

  • Overseeing a caseload of special education students, delivering ongoing clinical services aligned with students’ IEP goals
  • Providing direct service minutes and completing weekly progress notes for compliance and documentation
  • Collaborating closely with the IEP team to create, implement, and update Individualized Educational Plans and Functional Behavioral Assessments/Behavior Intervention Plans
  • Participating in IEP meetings for assigned students, offering social work expertise and support
  • Administering Social Work Assessments and actively participating in Special Education Eligibility determinations

This contract role (20-25 hours per week) offers a work schedule of three days a week from 8am-4:30pm, with room to tailor your days. The position is fully onsite and provides the rare opportunity to truly shape your own professional routine while focusing on meaningful, student-centered work.
