You’ll primarily work with 2nd and 3rd graders, ensuring each child receives the tailored instruction and guidance necessary to help them thrive.
What You’ll Need:
- Valid Special Education Teaching certification
- Experience working in K-8 settings, with emphasis on 2nd and 3rd grade students
- Strong understanding of effective strategies for students with diverse learning needs
- Ability to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative spirit
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver personalized lesson plans for students with special needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and support staff to support student integration
- Assess student progress and adjust instructional methods as needed
- Facilitate a supportive, encouraging classroom atmosphere
- Engage with families to keep them informed and involved in their child’s progress
- Maintain organized records, documentation, and compliance with all educational standards
