Job Description
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Special Education Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year in Wilmington, DE. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide specialized instruction and support to students while making a meaningful impact on their academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and functional development.
The ideal candidate will hold an active Delaware Special Education Teacher license and be comfortable working with students across an age range based on their experience and comfort level. This assignment provides the opportunity to collaborate with educational teams focused on student growth, independence, and success.
Work Schedule:
Full-Time
35 Hours per Week
August 25, 2026 – June 8, 2027

Qualifications:
Valid Delaware Special Education Teacher License required
Experience working with students with disabilities preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
Knowledge of special education compliance, IEP development, and implementation
Ability to create structured, supportive, and inclusive learning environments
Commitment to supporting students with diverse academic, behavioral, and functional needs
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals and Delaware state standards
Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with families, related service providers, administrators, and general education staff
Implement evidence-based academic, behavioral, and functional interventions
Support students' communication, social-emotional, academic, and functional development
Collect and maintain accurate student progress data and documentation
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration
Create a structured, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
Support students based on their individual learning needs and IEP goals
