Job Description
Join a dynamic healthcare environment offering diverse clinical pharmacy experience at a respected regional health center. This travel pharmacist role provides an exceptional opportunity to deliver comprehensive pharmacy and medication management services across inpatient and outpatient settings, serving a broad patient population including neonatal, pediatric, adult, geriatric, oncology, and obstetric groups.
Location: Garland, TX (Remote travel assignment to Arizona, serving a culturally rich Native American community)
Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule/Hours:
- 7 on/7 off rotation
- Workweek Weds-Tues
- Monday-Friday: 8:00 AM – 9:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care and oversee medication management in multiple clinics and hospital settings
- Engage in rotational shifts including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Advance through Pharmacist tier levels to Advanced Practice Pharmacist roles, leading specialized clinics and clinical services
- Oversee pharmacy policies, procedures, and programs that align with organizational mission and values
- Manage clinic operations and supervise pharmacy staff including pharmacists, technicians, assistants, and billers
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited program
- Current, unrestricted pharmacist license from any U.S. State or Territory (Arizona license not required)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Minimum 2 years as a Registered Pharmacist, with at least 1 year in clinical pharmacy practice
- Commitment to gaining valuable experience while traveling and working within Indian Health Services (IHS) settings
