Exciting Opportunity: Cardiology Position at Our Organization

For over three decades, our cardiology department has been dedicated to delivering outstanding cardiac care to patients in Somerset County and surrounding areas. Currently, we have a team of three full-time cardiologists, including two specialists in non-invasive cardiology and one expert in interventional cardiology. Our practice also employs two physician assistants—one full-time and one part-time—with plans to add a third full-time position due to increasing patient volume. Additionally, an electrophysiologist visits the clinic weekly to see patients and perform procedures at our facility. We host a weekly pacemaker clinic as well.

Our practice is conveniently situated directly across from our hospital, facilitating seamless transitions between inpatient and outpatient care. The non-invasive cardiologists alternate weekly between inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, supported by our physician assistants. Hospital services include rounding, consultations, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEEs), stress tests, echocardiograms, and EKGs. Medical call responsibilities are shared among the non-invasive cardiologists, with locum tenens assistance for weekend coverage. Physician assistants also contribute to weekend rounding duties.

The interventional cardiologist, who has been with us since 2016, is highly regarded in the region for his exceptional patient care. Our medical cardiologists have been part of the team since 2019, and both physician assistants have extensive experience working under the mentorship of our cardiology physicians.

In our outpatient practice, we utilize Epic as our electronic medical record (EMR) system. The hospital currently operates on Paragon Allscripts, with plans to transition to Epic in the near future.

Our organization offers a wide range of specialty services both on-site and in the surrounding region. Locally at our facility, we provide services in Pulmonary Medicine, Pain Management, Orthopedic Surgery, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Neurology, ENT, Urology, Gynecology, and UroGynecology. We also offer telemedicine services for Rheumatology, Endocrinology, and Neurosurgery. Additional services include medical oncology, an on-site sleep lab, two cardiac catheterization labs, physical therapy, occupational health, and home health services, among many others.
