Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional, Instructional Aide, or classroom assistant preferred
• Ability to work effectively with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration
• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant college coursework a plus
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in supporting children’s growth
• Familiarity with IEPs or special education settings is desirable
• Ability to follow directions and take initiative when needed
• Meet any state or district requirements for school paraprofessionals

Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities and individualized support
• Offer encouragement and guidance to students in both group and one-on-one settings
• Help implement behavior management strategies and classroom routines
• Support students with educational activities, assignments, and daily tasks
• Adapt techniques and materials to meet student needs under teacher direction
• Accompany students during outings, transitions, and designated school activities
• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
• Collaborate with other school staff to foster a positive learning environment
