Reporting to the Director or Executive Director of Supply Chain, the Supply Chain Manager will provide leadership and support for supply chain operations at the designated site. The focus will be on enhancing operational efficiency and managing supply expenses and savings. This role involves building and nurturing relationships with department heads and administrative teams, representing Supply Chain in various committees, leading conversion initiatives, and ensuring accountability for all supply and service expenditures in relation to budget forecasts and targets. The incumbent will act as a key liaison for consolidated supply chain functions and will be responsible for human resource management outcomes, productivity, and achieving Supply Chain success metrics related to spending, inventory, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, this role will support the Director or Executive Director and may act on their behalf as needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily operations of the Supply Chain department at the assigned site, including personnel management, vendor relations, and physical inventory oversight, while leading process improvement initiatives and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Manage expenditures related to facility operating and capital budgets, medical and non-medical supplies, and purchased services, aiming to meet financial targets and support capital equipment programs.
  • Conduct regular analyses of supply spending and utilization, ensuring accuracy in cost accounting and addressing discrepancies; perform variance analysis to explain budget deviations.
  • Promote adherence to contracts through direct engagement with physicians and key stakeholders, actively supporting the Clinical Integration Program.
  • Create a customer-centric environment by developing team members in service delivery and fostering collaboration between Supply Chain and Nursing/Ancillary departments.
  • Act as the primary contact for consolidated Supply Chain services, ensuring that user requirements are met and compliance with policies is maintained.
  • Present updates to administration or regional leadership on initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, improving inventory turnover, ensuring contract compliance, and achieving savings goals.
  • Oversee time and labor management applications to meet productivity metrics.
  • Facilitate regular departmental meetings and safety discussions.
  • Supervise key personnel, minimizing turnover through engagement and addressing employee needs; manage conflicts and direct training plans for staff development.
  • Regularly assess workplace safety and address any identified issues.
  • Attend and lead meetings in the absence of senior leaders as necessary.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Preferred Major: Business, Supply Chain, or Healthcare Administration
Licensing & Certifications:
  • Certified Materials and Resources Professional (CMRP) (Preferred)
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years in Supply Chain Management or an equivalent advanced degree with relevant business experience (Required)
  • Experience in a Supply Chain leadership role within an acute healthcare setting (Preferred)

  • Ability to lead effectively during periods of change.
  • Demonstrates objectivity in decision-making and analytical thinking.
  • Exhibits a collaborative management style that fosters integrated and efficient service delivery.
  • Communicates effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation Range:

Minimum: $35.82 | Maximum: $55.52
