This position is vital for maintaining exceptional patient care standards and operational effectiveness within our observation units.
- Attracting and retaining physicians for the Emergency Department Observation unit.
- Monitoring quality metrics and outcomes for the observation program.
- Engaging with referring physicians and addressing their concerns.
- Assessing and providing feedback to practicing ED Observation physicians on their clinical and administrative performance.
- Ensuring that patients under the care of ED Observation physicians meet established quality and satisfaction standards set by regulatory and payer organizations.
- Acting as a bridge between the ED Observation program and various clinical departments.
- Guaranteeing timely communication with patients and addressing their inquiries.
- Collaborating with other health system areas to achieve overarching goals related to the ED Observation program.
- Partnering with nursing and clinical team members to develop and implement care protocols for optimal patient care.
