Outpatient Only | Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Bon Secours Memorial Regional Medical Center, located in Mechanicsville, Virginia, is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join our dedicated outpatient team. We provide comprehensive care for adults (18+), focusing on prevention, wellness, and the long-term health of our patients.

Position Highlights

    \n
  • Setting: Outpatient only (on MRMC campus)
  • \n
  • Patient Population: 18+
  • \n
  • Average Patients/Day: 18–22
  • \n
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • \n
  • Call: Every 4–7 days, rotating weekends
  • \n
      \n
    • Coverage: Weekdays 5 PM–7 AM; Weekends Friday 5 PM–Sunday 6 PM
    • \n
    • Shared among 8 physicians
    • \n
    • Urgent issues only – no refills or controlled medications
    • \n
    • Average 1–10 calls per shift
    • \n
    \n
  • Virtual Health: Optional MyChart Virtual Visits for routine and acute care
  • \n
\n

A Typical Day

\n

You’ll see a mix of routine, acute, and wellness visits, including:

\n
    \n
  • Medicare wellness exams, chronic disease management, and preventive care
  • \n
  • Hospital follow-ups and preoperative evaluations
  • \n
  • Optional: Pap smears/pelvic exams
  • \n
  • Supported by a CMA/LPN and Lead LPN for each provider
  • \n
\n

You’ll work alongside 7 experienced MD/DO colleagues who value teamwork, quality care, and mutual support.

Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • \n
  • Training: Completed Internal Medicine residency
  • \n
  • Licensure: Active Virginia medical license (or eligibility)
  • \n
  • Certifications: Current BLS required
  • \n
  • Experience: Experienced physicians preferred; new graduates encouraged to apply
  • \n
