Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Valid and current Michigan special education teaching licensure required
- Previous experience with middle school-aged students preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with staff, students, and families
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills in dynamic classroom settings
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and interventions tailored to students’ IEPs and unique learning needs
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support personnel to ensure student success
- Assess student progress and document data effectively to inform instruction and comply with regulations
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and strategies for success
- Implement classroom management strategies that support positive behavior
- Participate in IEP meetings and professional development sessions as required
