Position Overview

As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality nursing services by collaborating with the patient care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. You will create a positive and supportive atmosphere for patients and their families. This role serves as a vital link between patients, their families, healthcare providers, and other team members. Key expectations include:

Core Responsibilities

• Patient Care and Coordination: Monitor and assess patient conditions, assist in care planning, and take appropriate actions to enhance patient outcomes. Deliver care as outlined, using independent judgment when necessary. Collaborate with team members to communicate care plans effectively and ensure optimal patient flow and experience. Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, changes in condition, care provided, and any incidents related to care standards.
• Patient Advocacy and Satisfaction: Actively listen to patient concerns, delve deeper to understand their needs, and respond promptly. Serve as an educational resource for patients and families regarding health issues. Communicate essential patient information to families and other healthcare providers. Embrace patient- and family-centered care to enhance satisfaction among patients, families, staff, and physicians.
• Performance Improvement: Identify opportunities to enhance the work environment and processes. Contribute ideas for solutions and support the implementation of changes aimed at improving patient quality outcomes, satisfaction, and organizational performance.
• Professional Competency and Growth: Maintain necessary licenses and certifications. Complete all required training and actively seek out development opportunities. Engage with professional organizations and stay updated on research and best practices in the industry.
• Professional Leadership: Mentor and support the development of fellow nurses. Foster a positive work environment and adhere to confidentiality and safety standards. Demonstrate professionalism and integrity while promoting shared governance principles. Participate in peer feedback processes and assist in recruiting new nursing talent.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications: All certifications must be obtained upon hire unless otherwise specified. Required certifications include:
  • BLS - Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support Instructor
  • RN - Registered Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - Multi-state Compact RN
• Experience: Previous experience in direct patient care is preferred.
