Step into an impactful contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting students onsite near Joliet, IL. This short-term assignment runs from August 17th to November 4th, providing dedicated therapy services across a caseload with a focus on transition-aged students (20–22 years old), as well as a mix of other grade levels. Play a vital role in helping students achieve their goals with your expertise in school-based physical therapy.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Physical Therapy licensure (required)
  • Demonstrated experience working with pediatric populations
  • Previous school-based physical therapy experience is essential
  • Ability to adapt services for a range of student ages, including transition-aged young adults
  • Skilled in addressing gross motor deficits and providing educationally relevant interventions
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services for students with special education needs
  • Assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions to support academic and functional performance
  • Collaborate closely with special education teams, teachers, and families to align therapy goals with educational plans
  • Monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation of services rendered
  • Attend and participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the IEP process
