Special Education Teacher - New Waverly, Texas

You’ll deliver special education services in an onsite environment close to New Waverly, working within a well-supported structure. The role includes both instructional and compensatory hours each week, alongside the chance to be part of a student’s progress through the extended school year and into the next school year.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Certified as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience supporting elementary-level students with significant learning needs, particularly life skills
• Strong understanding of IEP implementation and documentation
• Ability to deliver engaging, differentiated instruction in a 1:1 homebound setting
• Effective communication skills with students, families, and educational teams
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 4 hours of individualized, onsite instructional support weekly
• Deliver an additional 2 hours of compensatory educational services as needed
• Collaborate effectively with district staff, families, and support teams
• Maintain detailed records of student progress, attendance, and services provided
• Support the social, emotional, and academic development of the student
• Ensure your teaching aligns with IEP goals and state/district requirements
