Food & Beverage Stewards play an important role in creating delicious, unique food for our Guests. They are responsible for the overall cleanliness of our kitchen areas, buffet stations and Guest areas. Stewards may work indoor or outdoors. They will clean all kitchen equipment, tools and supplies as well as all dishes, glasses, equipment required to serve our Guests. Stewards work in a fast paced, dynamic environment with other kitchen team member or in the Guest dining areas.\n

Responsibilities : \n
\n

\n
• Responsible for working with large dish machines when loading and unloading dishware, glassware and silverware
\n
• Responsible for manually scraping plates, utensils and other dishware used in restaurants prior to loading in dishwashing machines
\n
• Responsible for manually scrubbing large pots and pans at a pot sink
\n
• Sort pots, pans, dishes, glassware, flatware and utensils and restock into designated locations for restaurant use
\n
• Maintains the cleanliness and sanitation of the area by sweeping, mopping and scrubbing kitchen floors, coolers and freezers and washing and replacing all trash cans
\n
• Responsible for emptying trash and recyclables appropriately
\n
• May clean kitchen counters and walls
\n
• May polish items such as silver and flatware
\n
• Monitor water cleanliness in the pot sink and in the dish machines
\n
• Performs deep cleaning according to deep cleaning schedule or as needed
\n
• Follow proper sanitation and HACCP procedures
\n
• Responsible for ensuring chemical storage areas are neat and orderly
\n
• Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization of back dock area which may include pressure washing

Basic Qualifications : \n
\n

\n
• Able to do heavy lifting of pots/pans and trays, up to 50 lbs.
\n
• Ability to push/pull heavy carts
\n
• Able to work in areas with loud noises and confined spaces
\n
• Understanding principles of proper sanitation
\n
• Has strong listening skills
\n
• Self motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team
\n

\n
Preferred Qualifications: \n
\n

\n
• Previous Leadership experience
\n
• Previous cleaning experience in fast paced environment or Hotel or Banquet area
\n
• Some knowledge/experience working with large kitchen equipment
\n
• Knowledge of Hawaiian/Japanese language preferred
\n
• Full availability for any shift, seven (7) days per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays is preferred
