This individual will play a key role in preparing accurate project estimates, supporting preconstruction efforts, and helping secure new work across a diverse portfolio of construction projects. Description The Estimator - Federal Projects - Myrtle Beach will be responsible for: Prepare detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for construction projects Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify project requirements Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing Analyze labor, material, equipment, and subcontract costs Assist with bid preparation, proposal development, and project presentations Collaborate with project managers and operations teams during preconstruction Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions Profile The Estimator - Federal Projects - Myrtle Beach should have: 6+ years of estimating experience within the construction industry Experience working for a general contractor preferred Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and pricing Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred Job Offer The Estimator - Federal Projects - Myrtle Beach will receive: Competitive base salary Performance-based bonus opportunities Comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) with company contribution Paid time off and company holidays Career advancement opportunities within a growing organization Supportive team culture and strong leadership Long-term project pipeline providing stability and growth MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. Requirements 5+ years of construction Project Manager experience with a general contractor is required Experience on ground-up education, healthcare, and/or commercial construction projects is required Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or relevant degree preferred Applicable Project Management Software experience preferred Developed thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project success Maintains good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with anyone from clients to subcontractors Must be a business-oriented person and act professionally when representing the employer at any level Local to Charlotte preferred, though relocators will be considered
