This full-time contract position is ideal for professionals committed to fostering communication skills and contributing to student success within the classroom.

As an SLPA, your role centers on helping students develop their speech and language abilities, working collaboratively under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist. With your expertise, you’ll ensure that each student’s therapeutic plan is implemented accurately, and their progress is carefully monitored and documented.

What You’ll Do:

  • Carry out individualized and group speech/language therapy sessions from treatment plans provided by your supervising SLP
  • Track and document therapy data and maintain organized, confidential student records
  • Contribute to speech and hearing screenings as directed
  • Create and organize therapy materials for effective classroom and pull-out interventions
  • Communicate and collaborate with teachers, family members, and school staff to promote student progress
  • Participate in IEP activities and help reinforce intervention strategies in daily routines
  • Follow state, federal, and district-level regulations to promote compliance and professional excellence

What We’re Looking For:

  • Current Texas SLPA License (TDLR)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field meeting Texas requirements
  • Completion of clinical observation and assisting experience per state standards
  • Ability to work closely with and take direction from a licensed SLP
  • Excellent communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
  • School-based experience is a plus, but enthusiasm for helping students succeed is essential
