A dedicated Special Education teacher is sought to provide Homebound services for a 3rd grade student in a life skills program. This role offers the chance to make a direct, positive impact through targeted instruction and support.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education teaching certification, with strong experience working in special education settings
  • Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to student needs
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized educational plans
  • Previous experience with life skills or homebound students preferred
  • Strong communication abilities to connect with families and multidisciplinary teams
  • Capable of managing confidential information in compliance with school guidelines

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 4 hours per week of instructional support and 2 hours of compensatory services to a homebound third grader
  • Develop lesson plans tailored to the student’s learning objectives and life skills development
  • Track and report on student progress, adapting strategies as needed
  • Collaborate with specialists, counselors, and district staff to best serve the student
  • Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to required timelines for compliance
  • Attend relevant meetings and trainings as requested by the district

The position is onsite only and will begin as soon as possible, with immediate placement for ESY and the potential to continue through the full school year. Hours are structured for flexibility and to support a healthy work-life balance.
