This opportunity begins August 27, 2026, and is designed to cover an FMLA leave for approximately 12 weeks, with a strong likelihood of extension (initial contract strictly covers the leave period). The district seeks a professional committed to providing excellence in temporary placements, with the understanding of the assignment’s initial duration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary educational teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Document and monitor progress on student goals, providing clear and timely follow-up.
  • Adapt interventions to meet the diverse needs of students across multiple campuses.
  • COTAs will work under the supervision of a licensed OT, per state and district guidelines.
  • Maintain clear communication with staff and families regarding student progress and recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Connecticut COTA certification and CT DPH License (or OT license for candidates applying as Occupational Therapists); NBCOT exam passed as applicable.
  • Previous school-based experience strongly preferred.
  • Reliable transportation to reach various schools across the district.
  • Comfortable with district-wide travel and working across diverse settings and age groups.
  • Commitment to fulfilling the duration of a maternity leave assignment, with flexibility for a potential extension.

Enjoy the chance to make a meaningful impact across an entire school district. Be part of a supportive educational environment that values professional expertise and collaboration. If you’re a motivated COTA or OT ready for a fulfilling contract that could extend beyond 12 weeks, apply today to take the next step in your school-based therapy career!

Compensation for this position ranges from $23.23 to $43.23. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
