Job Description
Make a meaningful difference supporting middle and high school students—step into a pivotal contract position as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the southwest Houston area. This rewarding opportunity starts in August 2026 and runs through the end of May 2027, offering a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. You will provide skilled therapy services across one or more campuses, ranging from grades 6-8 and 10-12, with your assigned schools thoughtfully selected to minimize commute time.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Current, active Texas SLP licensure and FL license (please provide a copy with your application)
- Experience in school-based settings strongly preferred
- Ability to independently manage a caseload of 50-60 students
- Proficiency in conducting therapy, student evaluations, ARDs, and assessments as needed
- Outstanding communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Fingerprint clearance (district will guide you through the process if not already completed)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based speech and language therapy to students in grades 6-8 and/or 10-12
- Conduct assessments, develop IEP goals, and attend ARD meetings as required
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation for students’ progress and sessions
- Work collaboratively with school teams and communicate effectively with parents/guardians
- Adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs across multiple campuses
